"Trinke klar, zahle bar" = Drink Clear, Pay Cash
Excellent condition; no chips or cracks.
I believe this was originally a musical stein, as there is space in the bottom for a music box.
There is no "Zinn" marking on the lid. However, there is a very small "73" inside. This could be the pewter content, or perhaps the year of manufacture, or just the lid mold #.
